"Well, let’s see. I was reared in Los Angeles with my brother Glenn. We always had Guitars and drum sets around.
We have always been huge music fans. Glenn and I would put on "concerts" for our parents and grandparents - trying
to hack our way through the Everly Brothers or Buddy Holly. Music was always playing in our home. We received a
healthy dose of 50’s, 60’s rock and motown - as well as plenty of Arabic music. When I was in third grade I started
violin lessons. This was the beginning of my passion for the violin. However, becoming a teenager and being exposed
to the Los Angeles punk scene of the late 70’s and early 80’s (via KROQ) my tastes began to change. This is when
My parents decided to move us to Tennessee. Aaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!!Glenn first met Brian in high school. Brian would come over to our house and jam with Glenn. Who knew this was the beginning to one of our oldest friendships. Anyways, Glenn and a friend formed a heavy psychedelic, punk band - I joined shortly thereafter. We played around town as well as the southeast. During this time Brian made his way to Los Angeles. For several years Glenn and I played in various bands. Until, I decided to move back home - Los Angeles. Once I got settled back in L.A. I started rehearsing with Brian and Mike. The new incarnation of the Space Twins was almost complete. All we needed was Glenn. Once Glenn made the scene we were ready to go. We have been together writing and playing for seven years now. In addition to playing bass guitar in the Space Twins, I am very passionate and obsessed with the violin. I am currently studying to teach the violin. I play in a couple if orchestras and ensembles here in L.A. As I reflect back upon my life I realize that music has always been the motivational force - emotionally and intellectually." |
